Q: Which cities are participating in the 2008-2009 Green My School contest?

A: City of Miami, San Francisco, and the Chicago/Suburban Cook County areas.

Q: What schools are eligible to participate?

A: Public schools within participating regions with students between Kindergarten and twelfth grade.

Q: How can my school participate?

A: All schools who wish to participate in the contest must register on the website and submit the required entry materials.

Q: Where can I download the necessary entry materials?

A: There are two places materials can be downloaded: either click on the “Participating Cities” heading, or click on “First Time Here? Download the Entry Materials Now!” and download the materials for your region.

Q: What materials are required to be eligible for the grand prize green makeover?

A: Schools must submit the standard entry form along with the “Best Green Ideas” component to be eligible for the grand prize green makeover.

Q: How do I submit the entry materials?

A: Schools may submit the required materials either online or mailed directly to: EcoMedia, LLC, 41 E. 11th Street, 11th Floor, New York, NY 10003, Attn: Green My School.

Q: How many entries can my school submit?

A: Schools may submit as many entries as they please, but we ask that the number is limited to 5. Multiple entries do not necessarily increase a school’s chances of winning the grand prize green makeover.
